Alt Tal turns out a feisty performance at one of downtown Oakland's most hangable joints, Cafe Van Kleef. This month we're on for the first Saturday, Cafe Van Kleef is easily accessible by BART (located two blocks North of the Oakland City Center/12th St. station) and shatters the myth that downtown Oaksterdam is a complete bust at night. | David Alt, the composer and saxophonist of Alt Tal, also directs the chamber Jazz ensemble Mutual Admiration Org, performs with Theloni On Wry, and has studied at the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestra Musicians. |
Kenny Annis digs the upright bass. Kenny also performs Hindustani
Classical music, on sarod, and has studied with Maestro Sharon Roni,
Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, and is currently a student of Maestro Steve Oda.
Kenny is Musical Director for Bay area performance artist Vinsantos, has composed music for the Printz Dance Project, and plays bass for Damon & the Heathens. |
Andrew Ryan, Drums. Andrew also performs

Michael Spiro, at
Rhythm Motion
Dance Center and other rituals.
